RUVA CHIGWEDERE

Ruva Chigwedere is an actor from Harare, Zimbabwe. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Theater, Dance & Media and History & Literature from Harvard University, and she is currently pursuing a Master of Fine Arts in Acting from the University of California, San Diego. Recent stage credits include: Audrey in Playing Mercury and Sappho in Do Not Move Stones (ISLE Theater Company); The Emperor’s New Clothes (American Repertory Theater); Greater Good (Company One); Richard III (SoHo Shakespeare Company). Ruva loves performing in work that centers the feminine perspective and honors the complexity and depth of Black women’s emotional universes. When not performing, she can be found eating any and every dessert available, running, and practicing her French.
