EMMA ADLER
Emma Adler is a theater scholar and dramaturg based in Boston. She is currently a Junior Fellow at the Harvard Society of Fellows. Her writing has appeared in publications including Modern Drama, The Journal of Narrative Theory, The Drift, and Public Books. She previously worked with Eliya Smith on a workshop of Smith’s Woman Fells a Dying Tree. From 2020 to 2022 she was the Fiction Editor of The Drift. She holds a PhD in English from Harvard and an MFA in Playwriting from Trinity College Dublin. //
She has workshopped plays with New York Theater Workshop, Colt Coeur, Lincoln Center Theater, Playwrights Horizons, Ensemble Studio Theater, among others. She has worked with La Jolla Playhouse, New York Stage and Film’s Powerhouse Season, Young Jean Lee’s Theater Company, The Civilians, Ojai Playwrights Conference, Kenyon Playwrights Conference, and ACT Theatre Seattle. She has worked as a script associate for Paula Vogel, David Adjmi, Cameron Crowe, and Jason Kim.
