BIOGRAPHY

Alexander Turanski is a local artist and lobster sternman from Penobscot. He recently graduated from University of Maine in Orono [UMO] with a Bachelor of Arts in New Media and minor in Innovation Engineering, and he is now pursuing a Master of Fine Arts at UMO. With a passion for creating balanced sculptures with stones, he has hosted several rock stacking art installations at the Innovative Media Research and Commercialization Center in Orono and at the Reversing Fall Sanctuary in Brooksville. He started his stone stacking journey at Sand Beach in Stonington.
